Spring is in the air and the City of Sedona has caught spring fever. The City of Sedona will be hosting it’s annual Celebration of Spring on Saturday April 7, 2012 at Posse Grounds Park.

The celebration started out as an egg hunt but in four years has quickly grown to be a full festival. Inflatable toys for kids, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, carnival rides and much more are included with the $2 admission fee for the attendees.

Come join me at the Sedona Recycles Food Booth where I will be serving as grillmaster preparing hamburgers, grilled sausages, veggie burgers and cold drinks.

The Easter egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Free Easter baskets will be given to the first 300 children through the gate. Children will be divided by age groups and there are thousands of eggs waiting to be found!

  • Egg hunt for children 0-2 will be held on the lower softball field at 10:00 a.m. Parents allowed to assist.
  • Egg hunt for children 3-5 will be held on the upper softball field at 10:00 a.m.
  • Egg hunt for children 6-8 will be held on the playground/ramada picnic area/sand volleyball court at 10:00 a.m.
  • Scavenger hunt for children 9-12 will begin at the radio station van at 10:30 a.m.

The Celebration of Spring will be from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Grounds road. For more information go to Celebration of Spring 2012 .
