In 1974, Randy began his real estate career at the age of 22, when he entered the real estate profession with his Great Uncle in the small farming community of Rockford Washington, located about 20 miles South of Spokane.
While under the guidance of his Great Uncle he obtained a broad real estate background, selling residential property, farm land and timberland and small businesses. During the 10 years with his great uncle he obtained his Brokers license and purchased the business from his Great Uncle.
In 1983 the opportunity arose for Randy to manage the Century 21 Shattuck & Grummett franchise in Juneau, Alaska, which he did for 10 years. During his stay in Juneau, because of the market turndown, Randy managed foreclosure property for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Farm Home Administration, further adding to his real estate background.
It was during that time that he met his wife Milton (Susan). In 1994 Randy and his wife decided to warm up and dry out and moved to Sedona.
In 1998 Randy joined Prudential Foothills Real Estate as the Broker manager for their Sedona office and became an owner partner in 2000.
In 2005 Randy and his partners sold out to the Herman Group and Randy stayed on as Branch Manager until June 2007.
Outside of work, Randy and his wife are active members of the Sedona Oak Creek Lions Club, where Randy is a past President and has earned a coveted Melvin Jones Fellowship.
Randy and his wife enjoy hiking and exploring ancient rock art sites and visiting Native American Pueblos in Arizona and New Mexico. Randy is also the assistant volleyball coach for the girls varsity team at Sedona Red Rock High School and a coach for the Sedona Juniors USA Volleyball Club Team.
